    Richard "Jerry" Verbeck, 85, entered into rest Monday, April 17, 2017, with his family by his side. He was born to Harry Eugene and Mary Ruth (Foley) Verbeck on March 2, 1932, in East St. Louis, Illinois. Jerry joined the U.S. Army at 17 and proudly served on the Ryoukis Island of Okinawa during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged from Camp Atterbury Dec. 4, 1952.
