Joyce Daniel Coleman, 89, of Jeffersonville, IN, passed away June 3, 2017. She was born January 17, 1928, in McHenry, KY to Arvil Ray and Alma (Porter) Daniel. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, James V. Coleman Jr. and Maxwell Coleman; and her son James V. Coleman III. Her survivors include a brother, Jack Daniel (Rowena); two daughters, Johan Hagaman (Alvin) of Nashville, TN, and Kimberly Burns (Fred) of Lanesville, IN; seven grandchildren, Brett Coleman (BJ), Cali Kent (Klinie), Aaron Hagaman, Brooke Hagaman, Elizabeth Kirschenbaum (Mike), Sarah Warman (Bryan), and Matthew Burns (Elizabeth); and five great-grandchildren, Megan, Braden, Kody, Carson and Cassidy. An avid sports fan, Joyce was particularly fond of Kentucky basketball. She loved playing bridge and music. This love for music led her to be a member of her church choir and community choirs. Graveside services will be held at the Centertown Cemetery in Centertown, KY, on Saturday, June 17 at 1 p.m. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take form in donations to the American Cancer Society at 1640 Lyndon Farm Ct. #104, Louisville, KY 40223.
