  1. My thoughts and heart go out to Kelly and Anne who I grew up with in New Albany. Mr. Carnighan was my first inspiration of how to play tennis and have a sense of humor in doing so. He had all the proper form for tennis. I copied his style which lead to my success. He was, what my dad called, a wiry quick player using an all-court style of play to win. I saw him win many tournaments and wanted to be like him. He was the last of the original men’s tennis dynasty that played every weekend for 30 years. Harry and these men inspired hundreds of kids to play tennis and be polite to one another. Charlie Ellis
