Tammy Sue Kinney, 54, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at home with her family by her side. Born in Fort Wayne on August 22, 1964 she was the daughter of the late Charles and Carol (Voirol) Stephenson. As the family matriarch, she was the glue, backbone and peacemaker that held it all together. She never liked anyone making a fuss at her and always made sure everyone got what they needed. She enjoyed time with family, camping, reading, and playing with her iPad. She drove a bus for East Allen County Schools and had great joy in seeing the kids every day. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Butch Kinney; children, Brooke and Paige “PD” Kinney both of New Haven, Heather Potts-Villalobos and Ernie (Heather) Kinney both of Monroeville, Dee (Thomas) Kinney-Smith of Fort Wayne, and Carrie (Josh) Watson-Jones of Angola; sisters, Lisa Stephenson-Johnson of Monroeville, Sandy Stephenson of New Haven, and Janelle (Matt) Stephenson-Miller of Garrett; sister-in-law, Dawn Stephenson of Monroeville; 12 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Bill Stephenson and Dawn Diemer. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Father Ben Muhlenkamp officiating. Visitation is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial in Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to Northeast Indiana Cancer Services.
