Jeffrey Oldaker, a Boilermaker with Local 374 and life-long area resident, died unexpectedly on September 13, 2018 at the age of 44.
Jeffrey is survived by his parents, Paul and Donna (Law) Oldaker; brother, David Oldaker and his wife Tammy; Jeff’s loving wife Jennifer (Bianco) Oldaker and their daughter, Tiffany and her fiancée William “TJ” Janeway.
Jeffrey graduated in 1992 from Thomas Edison High School in Lake Station, IN and worked as a Boilermaker for Enerfab Power & Industrial, Inc. at the CokEnergy Plant in East Chicago, IN. Jeff previously worked for Aero Machine in Valparaiso, IN and J.W. Hicks in Merrillville, IN. In February 1995, he welcomed his beautiful daughter Tiffany into world and she was the most important part of his life. In September 1999 he married Jennifer, the love of his life.
Jeffrey was a devoted father and loving husband as well as an avid golfer and bowler. If he wasn’t at work, on a golf course or in a bowling alley, you would happily find him at home with his wife, friends and family enjoying the pool or kicking back by a bonfire. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
The family is having a Celebration of Life Memorial at the American Legion Post 100, 1899 Central Ave., Lake Station, IN 46405 on October 6, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Funeral arrangements were handled by Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Ave., Portage, IN.
