Mr. Robert Lee "Bobby" Sutter, Jr., 71, of Clarksville, entered the gates of Heaven on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 26, 2020. He was born in Louisville on February 22, 1949, the eldest son of the late Robert Lee Sutter, Sr. and Patricia Ann Cunningham Sutter. On June 22, 1973, Bobby married the love of his life, Janet Lynn Heineman, she survives. Bobby was a proud veteran of the U. S. Air Force.

After his honorable discharge, he began working alongside his father doing construction. He would use these skills throughout his life whether remodeling the house, designing and building a room addition and garage, or building dioramas. He then worked at various positions at Kmart in Jeffersonville for many years.

He had a love of old cars and could tell you what year and model of any that passed you on the streets. Never one to be idle, Bobby could usually be found tinkering on cars or woodworking. In his later years, he would regale the nurses with stories of his Air Force adventures or pictures and videos of his great grandkids.

Bobby taught his family many things, among them how to fish and that God has a plan and time for everything. They have fond memories of many camping trips, vacations and baseball games with him. He successfully passed along his stubbornness and determination to all of his kids and grandkids. Above all, Bobby was a family man that worked hard and did all he could to support his wife and children. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 47 years, Janet Sutter; children, Christa (Joe) Mouser, James Sutter, Matthew (Amanda Evans) Sutter; grandchildren, Donna Mouser, Rebecca (Seth) Burton, Alex Evans; great grandchildren, Lyla and Josiah Burton; father-in-law, Richard "Skip" Heineman; brothers, Gary (Tammy) Sutter, Jerry Sutter; aunt, Sharon Nix as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; great granddaughter, Athena Rae Burton; sister, Donna Louise D'Antonio and mother-in-law, Betty Heineman.

Funeral services for Bobby will be conducted by E. M. Coots' Sons Funeral Home on Wednesday at 1:00PM, Chaplin Leland Parks with officiating.
