ROCKVILLE [mdash] Shirley Ann Nevins, 75, of Rockville, Indiana passed away Monday, October 11, 2021 at Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care in Terre Haute, Indiana due to complications of COVID-19.
She retired from Turkey Run Inn with many years of service and for the past 20 years she was a greeter/receptionist at Butler Funeral Home assisting families and maintaining the facility and was a caregiver to Lester and Gladys Butler.
She was born September 3, 1946 in Rosedale, Indiana to the late Paul Jackson and Esther Alma Wheeler Jackson Sweet.
Survivors include Rodger D. Davies; son, Jim (Ann) Nevins; daughters, Michelle (Troy) Lingley, Leslie (Jake) Davies Sparks and Lauren Davies Morris; brother, Joe Jackson; three sisters, Nancy Loomis, Mary (Bob) Earl, and Grace Broten; brother-in-law, David Dilley, sister-in-law, Elfrieda Jackson Moran; grandchildren, Brock (Jesse) James, Clayton (fiancée Sarah Muel- ler) Nevins, Noah Nevins, Haley (Alex) Rojas, Addison, Alton, and Atlee Sparks, Allison and Hannah Morris; great-grandchildren, Charley and Leta James, Mason, Maddox and Malin Rojas; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Leon- ard Jackson; and four sisters, Peggy Jackson, Sharon Kent, Evelyn Dilley and Esther Greene; three broth- ers-in-law, Bob Broten, Bud Greene and Charles Loomis; sister-in-law, Linda Jackson.
She was a 1964 graduate of Rosedale High School and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She was affectionally known as Nan to her grandchildren and meant the world to them and leaves the whole Jackson family with thousands of memories. She dearly loved Rodger, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11:00 am Saturday, October 16, at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W. Howard Street, Rock- ville, with Pastor Gene Walls officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Garden Cemetery in Rockville. Visitation is 4:00-8:00 pm Friday at Gooch Funeral Home.
