TERRE HAUTE [mdash] William "Bill" Edward Weatherman, 78, passed away November 22, 2021 in Harrison's Crossing Health Campus. He was born March 5, 1943 in Clinton, Indiana, to William "Woody" Walden Weatherman and Elizabeth Isabel Bubeck Weatherman.
He graduated from the last graduating class at Dana High School. He attended Wabash College and went on to graduate from Indiana State University.
He was an Industrial Arts Teacher for North Vermillion Schools. After teaching, Bill worked for IMC – Pitman Moore selling pharmaceuticals and biologicals to veterinarians; being the top sales representative numerous times. He also worked as an auctioneer.
Bill was a member of the Boy Scouts of America attaining the title of Eagle Scout. He was a member of Free and Accepted Masons, Scottish Rite, Noon Optimist Club, and the NRA. He also drove children to and from the Shriners Hospital.
His family would describe Bill as independent, hardworking, and compassionate. He was always helping others, and was dedicated to his family and friends. Bill was a great cook; his specialties were an amazing nacho dip and homemade ice cream.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Cheryl Endicott-Weatherman; and sister, Elizabeth Lenore Weatherman. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Weatherman Davis and her husband Clint Lee Davis; brother, Mark Steven Weatherman (Debbi); grandchildren, Larry Lee Davis (Morgan), Riley Louise Davis, and Keely Elizabeth Davis; a great-granddaughter, Tessa Josephine Davis; sisters and brothers-in-law Aimee (Nicolaus) Bruns, Sauni (Steve) Kaufman, Leigh Ann (Earl) Vogel; and special companion and friend, Lynn Smedley.
Services for Bill will be Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 1 pm in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN 47804. Visitation will be from 11 am to service time at the funeral home on Thursday. Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery in Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Shriner's Children's Hospital, the Terre Haute Humane Society, the Terre Haute Noon Optimist Club or the Terre Haute Boys and Girls Club.
