    Laura E. Powell, age 66, passed away Friday evening, March 29, 2019. She was a resident of Morgantown. Laura was born October 1, 1952, in Pensacola, Florida. She lived in Indianapolis and went on to graduate from Northwest High School in Indianapolis in 1970. She received her Bachelors in Education from Indiana Central College in 1974 and later earned her Master’s Degree in Education from Indiana University. Laura began her thirty-three year career in education in 1974 as a Special Reading Teacher at Morgantown Elementary School.     Claire E. ‘Shortie’ (Percifield) Richards, age 92 passed away Friday morning, March 29, 2019 at The Waters of Martinsville. She was a resident of Brown County. Shortie was born January 9, 1927, in Monroe County, to her parents, the late Thurman Anderson and Verna K. (Myers) Percifield. She was a 1944 graduate of Helmsburg High School and went on to work for Eli Lilly & Co. in Indianapolis from 1944 to 1948.     Frank Wagers, age 85 passed away Wednesday evening, March 27, 2019 at his home in Trafalgar. Frank was born September 15, 1933, in Manchester, KY, to his parents, the late Jim B. and Delora (Henson) Wagers. He attended Goose Rock Schools in Manchester and went on to marry Norene L. Mullins on March 31, 1951 in Manchester.
