A member of the first graduating class of Southmont High School, David then attended Wabash College. He was a farmer in the Waveland area for over 20 years. He is survived by his daughters, Sheri Dooley, Miami, Florida, Michelle (Rae) Herig, Deatsville, Alabama, Melinda (Josh) Boeglin, Whitestown, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Dooley.     Robert “Bob” Nelson 88, of Russellville, passed suddenly at his residence on Tuesday afternoon August 1, 2017. Bob was born on April 29, 1929 at Greencastle to David M. “Bill” and Grace “Fowler” Nelson. He graduated from Greencastle High School. He was a member of the Russellville Community Church. Bob retired from North Putnam High School in 1999 after 13 years as a custodian. He also work in Grain sales, and was a logger for several years, helping to log the area which is now Raccoon Lake.     Norma Jean Sauter, 90 of Portland Mills, passed away Monday, July 17th at her home. She was born on March 15, 1927 in Indianapolis to the late Michael Denton White and Mary Lorraine (Watson) Baker. On March 15, 1947 in Indianapolis, she married William L. Sauter. William passed away in January of 2000. Norma graduated from Emanuel High School and then attended Indiana University and Indianapolis University. She worked as a food editor for Saturday Evening Post, and as a secretary for Mertz Engineering where they made the first space capsules.     Mildred L. Thompson

    Mildred Louise Keys was born on December 12, 1925 to James Evarts and Elsie Chappell Keys in Louisville, Kentucky.  During the Great Depression, the Keys family moved to Montgomery County where they made their home.  Mildred was ushered into heaven to be with her Savior on the morning of July 12, 2017. Mildred’s childhood sweetheart was Leland Thompson.  When Leland enlisted in the US Navy during World War II, Mildred left high school and sold his bicycle to buy a train ticket.  She then travelled to Gulfport, Mississippi so that she and Leland could wed before he was deployed to the Pacific.  That adventure began a marriage of 56 years.…
